HAL depends on generous donations from supporters to help keep our work going. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Foster

Foster parents provide temporary care for animals. By offering your time, energy, and home to an animal in need, you prepare the animal for adoption into a permanent home. HAL is currently looking for cat/kitten foster homes throughout Somerset and Monmouth Counties. The more foster parents we have, the more lives we can save! If you are interested in fostering a cat or kitten, please fill out our foster application.

Our Wish List

Gift Cards from Petsmart or Petco, cat litter, wet and dry cat and dog food, cat and dog treats and toys, humane traps for feral cat caregivers, coupons, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, office supplies such as postage stamps, business envelopes, printing paper.

Volunteer

HAL is always in need of volunteers to foster animals, distribute humane education literature, and help with fundraising. We are also in need of experienced feral cat caregivers who can help with Trap-Neuter-Return efforts.
