If you have an EMERGENCY, you should NEVER phone or email. Please do the following:

- if you have a medical emergency, call your local veterinarian. Consult the local yellow pages under veterinarians for 24-hour vets listed for night-time or weekend emergencies if necessary.

- if you have an animal cruelty emergency, call your local police department.

Please note that, due to lack of foster homes, Homeless Animal Lifeline cannot accept animals from the public at this time, however, we would be happy to assist you with finding safe placement. Contact us for a free information pack and/or to have your animal listed on our website!

Always work with a reputable no-kill rescue if you must relinquish your companion animal. The advocacy group, Animal Protection League of NJ, provides a comprehensive listing of New Jersey rescues and shelters.
